Rich Benjamin
Head Coach - 3rd Season

Rich Benjamin begins his third year at the helm of the Indiana Wesleyan University baseball team in 2017-18.

In Benjamin's first year at Indiana Wesleyan the Wildcats had one of the most successful seasons in program history as they advanced to the NAIA         National Championship Opening Round for the first time. Indiana Wesleyan went 1-2 in their first appearance which included a win over #RV LSU Shreveport. IWU concluded the season with a 37-25-1 record which was the first winning season since 2007-08.

Indiana Wesleyan won its first Crossroads League championship in 31 years when they tied top-seed Taylor (Ind.) in the Tournament Championship game. The two teams were named co-tournament champions after the title game was rained out after 5 innings in a 3-3 game.

Prior to Indiana Wesleyan, Benjamin was the head baseball coach at Judson (Ill.) for eight season where he accumulated the most wins in program history with 304. Benjamin led Judson to five NAIA Regional or NAIA National Championship Opening Round appearances and won three CCAC regular season championships and four CCAC tournament championships. Benjamin was named CCAC Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2013.

Rich and his wife Casey live in Marion and they have one son, Ty.
